Kazakhstan: the most developed and easiest to pronounce -stan.
A University exchange first brought me to this neck of the steppe. And let me just say, nothing beats experiencing a country during exchange. Forget your mainstream destinations; Kazakhstan has scenery more beautiful than Europe, at prices less than a third of it, all enjoyed with friends around my age who know how to live while they are young. Almaty isn’t a student city for nothing;)
Everywhere I travelled to during the winter, I was met with pristine landscapes and unspoilt photos. No more will I stand for other people appearing in my background shots.
