Central Asia: home to the five -stans that almost nobody outside the region can recite.
A University exchange to Kazakhstan first brought me to this neck of the steppe, and henceforth began my love for the region’s scenery, people, and cost of living. I also managed to squeeze in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan before the Coronavirus brought everything to an abrupt halt. That leaves me with Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. I’ll be back to tick them off!
