Tales from a female solo traveller

Hi! I am Joey. Ever since I started University, I spent a quarter of each year abroad for volunteer work, internship, or exchange. I am a third culture kid, Singaporean by birth but global nomad by choice. I used to be a paradox- loved seeing the world but could not because I always succumbed to anxiety. Like seriously, I couldn’t go to the shops myself on the off-chance I had to talk to the cashier.

One day I decided to take the plunge and flew to Romania alone for an AIESEC Global Volunteer program for 6 weeks. Since then I have not looked back, and my college life has been nothing but short of exhilarating. In chronological order, I have also been to Vietnam, the U.K., China, the Philippines and Central Asia for various school programmes. I started this blog to recount my misadventures/ tales as a female solo traveller, but more importantly to show my fellow wanderlust-ers that it is possible to solo-travel and not die. Join me on the journey towards self-discovery!
